It might be fun to play with but I don't see it being an economically viable camera for the modern era. For me, it was never a camera you could love, instead it was a tool to be used for specific purposes.Īs far as being sharp, I don't think you can do much better than this camera providing you have good consistent photo processing and printing. It has a severe case of "shutter shock" at all shutter speeds (though in those days we called it vibration). You could also buy all sorts of penta prism devices and viewfinders (both with and without light meters). It's default aspect ratio is 6圆 cm, but you can/could buy all sorts of backs for it. There were just too many of them made to be collectible. I don't think it has much resale value, either as usable photo gear or as a collectible. MF cameras don't command high prices so I'm not sure if it's worth selling but it would be fun to use and the pictures will be sharp, you can also scan the result for digital PP. The SQ-A was introduced in 1982, it's a 6圆 format on 120 film which is readily available on line and camera stores.
